Laura was Director of Drama Commissioning at ITV between 2007 and 2013 when she set up Mainstreet Pictures with Sally Haynes. Her commissions include ‘Kingdom’, ‘Primeval’, ‘Lost in Austen’, ‘Wuthering Heights’ and thrillers: ‘Collision’, ‘Whitechapel’, ‘Unforgiven’, ‘Above Suspicion’ plus single films ‘My Boy Jack’ and ‘Englishman in New York’. In Autumn 2010 Laura oversaw the ratings busting ‘Downton Abbey’ as well as ‘Little House’ and ‘DCI Banks’.
Laura commissioned successful returning series ‘Scott & Bailey’ and ‘Vera’ as well as the supernatural thriller ‘Marchlands’, single film ‘The Suspicions of Mr Whicher’, ‘The Jury’, ‘Endeavour’ and BAFTA award winning factual drama ‘Appropriate Adult’. 2013 saw the successful launch and recommission of period series ‘Mr Selfridge’ and the ratings busting and acclaimed emotional thriller ‘Broadchurch’ starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman which won BAFTA for best serial in 2013. Laura was awarded the RTS Judges’ Award in 2012 for her contribution to television drama.
Prior to ITV Laura was Head of Drama Series and Serials at the BBC. During this time she oversaw a diverse output including ‘Auf Wiedersehen, Pet’, ‘Cutting It’, and the period adaptations ‘Daniel Deronda’, ‘Charles II’, ‘North & South’ and ‘To The Ends of the Earth’. She has also overseen ‘State of Play’, ‘Canterbury Tales’, ‘The Long Firm’, ‘Blackpool’, ‘The Line of Beauty’, and the BAFTA award winning serial ‘Bleak House’ and one-off dramas, ‘Flesh and Blood’ and ‘Hawking’.

In Autumn 2010 Sally oversaw the ratings busting ‘Downton Abbey’ as well as ‘Scott & Bailey’. More recently Sally commissioned successful returning series ‘DCI Banks’, ‘Vera’ and ‘Endeavour’ as well as the supernatural thriller ‘Marchlands’ and single films ‘The Suspicions of Mr Whicher’ and BAFTA award winning ‘Appropriate Adult’. In 2013 she oversaw the return of the second series of the hugely successful ‘Mr Selfridge’ and commissioned the ratings success and BAFTA award winning thriller ‘Broadchurch’.
Prior to ITV Sally was Executive Producer at the BBC in the Drama Serials department, working with Laura Mackie through the merger of the department with Drama Series before becoming Senior Executive Producer responsible for the development of drama produced in Manchester and Birmingham. During this time she oversaw a diverse output including ‘Cutting It’, ‘Canterbury Tales’, ‘Blackpool’ and the BAFTA award winning serial ‘Bleak House’.
HEAD OF PRODUCTION
Carmel Maloney has joined Mainstreet Pictures as Head of Production after 20 years experience working in the tv industry on a wide variety of singles, series and mini series across the BBC and ITV including P.D James Inspector Dalgleish, Canterbury Tales, Line of Beauty, Waking the Dead, Lark Rise to Candleford and Criminal Justice.
For the last three years Carmel has worked as a Co-Producer on Mr Selfridge and The Musketeers.
Maggie Boden has over twenty years experience working in television drama across all genres. Script editor on ‘EastEnders’, ‘Casualty’, ‘This Life’, ‘The Lakes’ and ‘Undercover Heart’ for the BBC and ‘Dead Set’ and ‘Anna Karenina’ for C4. In 2001 she developed ‘River City’ as Series Producer for BBC Scotland before moving onto produce ‘Spooks’.
She returned to the BBC where she developed and consulted on a number of factual dramas with the Current Affairs department before moving to work as a Commissioning Executive at ITV where she oversaw ‘Scott & Bailey’ and commissions including the ratings winner, ‘Prey’.
Maggie’s been developing new drama projects for Mainstreet Pictures for the last two years.
For a number of years Gwen worked in tv and film production. After working as a production coordinator on The Bletchley Circle, Gwen went on to join World Productions in 2012 where she worked on a number of development projects and script edited the second series of The Bletchley Circle and Code of a Killer for ITV.
Gwen joined Mainstreet Pictures in 2015 and has script edited the first two series of Unforgotten as well as I Want My Wife Back and HIM. She is is currently working on the third series of Unforgotten as well as working on various development projects.
Charlotte began her career working at Company Pictures. She script edited THE SILENCE for BBC1 and the adaptation of Martina Cole’s THE RUNAWAY for SKY1.
Charlotte worked on the BAFTA award-winning EASTENDERS before joining Mainstreet in 2016 where she has script edited AGE BEFORE BEAUTY for BBC1 and is working on several projects in development.

Laura Jayne joined Mainstreet Pictures in August 2015 after 8 years as a PA in the Drama Commissioning Department at ITV. It was here that Laura Jayne first worked as PA to Laura and Sally during their time as Drama Commissioners. Prior to working at ITV, Laura Jayne has worked as a PA in advertising, talent management and music entertainment.
Legal & Business Affairs
Oliver handles all Mainstreet's legal and business affairs work. Having initially worked as a solicitor in a specialist media firm, he has been doing this schtick for television and film clients for longer than he cares to remember. Previous roles have included Zenith Entertainment, Disney, NBC and Sega and he has worked on multiple productions for UK and international drama producers
